Installation and Quick Start

  1. Download and Extract
  2. First Run
    • Simply double-click WindTerm.exe to launch; no installation is required.
  3. Create a New SSH Session
    1. Click “New Session” in the top-left corner → select “SSH”.
    2. Enter the host address, port (default 22), username, and import or enter your private key.
    3. Optional configurations:
      • Tab Name: Helps distinguish between multiple connections
      • KeepAlive, reconnection policy and other advanced options
    4. Click “Connect” to establish the connection.
  4. Common Operations
    • Split Screen: Right-click on a tab → Split Horizontally / Vertically
    • Port Forwarding: Session → Port Forwarding → Add Rule
    • Script Execution: View → Script Panel, double-click a script or drag commands in

Switch to Chinese

The default language is English. Click session:right_arrow:Preferences:right_arrow:Settings:right_arrow:appearance and select Chinese, then restart the software.
